- Non-refundable deposit of 25% of the minimum estimated charges is due upon booking.
- Second payment of 50% of the minimum estimated charges is due six (6) months prior to the event.
- Third payment of 25% of the minimum estimated charges is due three (3) months prior to the event.
- Full payment of the estimated charges is due 2 weeks prior to the event.
- The remaining balance will be due after the event.
Hours of Scheduled Functions
The Food and Beverage Minimum is based off of a six hour time period. If you require the use of the space outside of this time frame, the resort must pre-approve the request. A $1,500 overtime hourly labor charge will be charged, or a portion thereof, until 1:00am for indoor spaces or 10:00pm for outdoor spaces.
Food and Beverage Provisions
Montage Laguna Beach is the sole purveyor of all food and beverages for on-site events. The State of California Liquor Commission regulates the sale and service of alcoholic beverages, and Montage must adhere to these regulations. It is Montage’s policy that all alcoholic beverages are provided by the resort only. California law mandates that there is no smoking in any area of service, but an outdoor smoking area can be provided. Dietary substitutions are available upon request.
Food and Beverage Estimate
Based on your menu selections, the total food and beverage cost will vary. We recommend that you allow $500++ per person for your event. Please note that our food and beverage minimums vary from day to day as well as throughout the year. Please call our wedding specialists to receive a custom quote for your wedding day.
Special Occasion Cakes
Our team of talented pastry chefs is available to design and prepare a cake to your preferences. Pricing begins with a $200 base price, plus $16 per person. A $10 per person fee will apply for cakes supplied from outside vendors.
Bartender: $500 per bartender
Chef Attendant/Carver: $350 per two hours
Heaters: $95 per heater
Wedding Ceremonies & Receptions
Montage features a distinctive oceanfront setting, which is ideal for wedding ceremonies and receptions in Southern California. Two lush rolling green lawns with sweeping views of the Pacific, the Pacific and Ocean Lawns, are perched 50 feet above the ocean and can seat up to 400 guests. The lawn venue rental fee ranges from $10,000 – $30,000 and includes white garden chairs, a standing microphone for the Officiant, two speakers for your musicians and high and low cocktail tables.
Two ballrooms are equipped with beautifully upholstered chairs and a combination of 66-inch round, 72-inch round or 5-foot square tables. Tables are dressed with antique gold or white parchment brocade linen and white Frette linen napkins. Each setting consists of a gold beaded charger, fine Baucher china, crystal Spiegelau stemware, Christofle silverware, and three votive candles per table. Also provided is a teak wood dance floor, risers for the band and a 48-inch round cake table. Please contact your wedding Catering Manager for more information on décor, pricing and upgrades.

From pin spotlighting on the floral centerpieces to color washes for depth and drama to full-scale video presentations, Five-Star Audio-Visual has the expertise and necessary equipment to meet your every need.
At Montage Laguna Beach, we hope that your wedding is a truly joyous and memorable occasion. So that we may provide this courtesy to all of our guests, we ask that all outdoor entertainment be non-amplified. In addition, hotel staff may need to lower the volume of indoor amplified music if it adversely affects other guests or functions. All outside entertainment must end at 10:00pm, and indoor entertainment by 1:00am.
A pre-approved wedding coordinator will be required for a minimum of four (4) months to assist with your wedding arrangements, rehearsal, ceremony and reception. Your coordinator will assist with vendors and serve as the main liaison between the resort and your vendors. For a list of pre-approved coordinators, please inquire with your Catering Manager.
A private valet entrance at the courtyard porte cochère will be provided for you and your guests. For hosted or non-hosted parking, we will extend a special rate of $30 per car for your guests. Parking does come at a premium rate in the city of Laguna Beach. Since the resort does not offer self-parking, the use of ride-sharing services is highly recommended. Overnight valet parking is $75 per car.
