Spring ushers in our celebration of Coastal Culture, with every experience designed to deepen one’s connection to the Lowcountry. Bluffton and the surrounding communities are brimming with talented artisans, chefs, and creatives, each bringing their passion and expertise to this seasonal exhibition of tradition, craftsmanship, and Southern hospitality.

Artistry in Octagon

Artistry in Octagon celebrates the vibrant connection between local art and cuisine. Each quarter, a new artist will be featured in the lower dining section of Octagon, bringing the beauty of the Lowcountry’s fields and waters to life. As you dine on dishes inspired by the region, explore the artist’s work and let their creations tell the story of this natural landscape that is rich in culture.

For the months of April – June, as we focus on Coastal Culture, we are pleased to host local artist Diana Jaffe, who celebrates the spirit of the Lowcountry through her work.

Diana Jaffe is a renowned artist known for her spiritual and ethereal works that inspire joy and introspection. With international acclaim, her pieces are held in private collections worldwide, including the U.S. Embassy’s collection in Singapore, exemplifying her role in cultural diplomacy. Through her serene compositions, Jaffe encourages viewers to find harmony within themselves and the natural world.

Brims On The Bluff creates coastal hats and memories with their personalized hat-making experience. We invite you to join us and dive in head first with a skilled hat stylist to create a felt or straw hat that is sure to turn heads. Tailored to the Lowcountry, each creation is infused with a unique coastal charm.

Hand-Carved: Silver Oyster Shell Pendant

Come learn the intricate technique of carving wax to create precious metal jewelry from the master, Mark Lexton. This hands-on workshop gives you the unique opportunity to create your own sterling silver oyster pendant, guided by Mark’s expert instruction. Once Mark has led you through the techniques of carving, participants will create their own wax oyster likeness, which Mark will bring back to his workshop to cast and create the piece. Once completed, the pendant will be mailed to FLOW Gallery + Workshop for pick up.
