About Lowcountry Pride
Our mission is to promote the visibility of the LGBTQ+ community in the Lowcountry by educating society, honoring our heritage, advocating for our culture and celebrating our diverse community.
Our purpose is to highlight the uniqueness and diversity of our community through distinct events throughout the year promoting our history and culture, including the annual Lowcountry Pride Parade and Celebration Festival.

Community PRIDE 5k Sponsored by Montage Palmetto Bluff

We invite you to run, walk, skip or sashay through Bluffton in the Community PRIDE 5k. The diversity of our Bluffton Community is one of the most amazing aspects of this Heart of the Lowcountry. Support our LGBTQIA+ loved ones, friends and neighbors by participating in this fun and festive 5k. Proceeds from the race will go to benefit Lowcountry PRIDE. Following the race there will be food trucks and a nearby shrimp boat park to encourage you to stay, have a picnic and connect with our community.

Test your wits in a delightful evening of general knowledge trivia, with a variety of questions spanning from history and science to pop culture and sports. Compete for prizes, sip on classic cocktails, and enjoy the ambiance of our intimate speakeasy.

Join us on the scenic River House Screen Porch, a classically-Southern venue adorned with vibrant greenery and picturesque views of the May River, and unwind to live music while enjoying specials on coffee and other libations. Lowcountry Golf Scramble

Join us for a Lowcountry Golf Scramble tournament on the Sunrise Lawn, where families can enjoy a friendly competition. Players will collaborate to find the best shots, making it an engaging event for all ages.

Making Sweet Grass Coasters

Montage Palmetto Bluff is honored to host Michael Smalls, a 7th generation basket-sewer, and his protégé Dino Badger for a class on the art and history of the sweet grass basket – an iconic treasure of the Lowcountry. Join Michael and Dino for this two-hour instructional workshop where guests will have a hands-on lesson in making their own sweet grass coaster.

Cigar Rolling Experience

Experience the rich tradition of cigar rolling with a skilled artisan from Cigar Row out of Charleston, SC. Set against the charming backdrop of River House and the May River, guests can observe the artistry of cigar rolling and enjoy a freshly crafted cigar by the fire pits before continuing their evening at Hush for drinks and conversation.

Go fishing with our naturalist in the inner waterways of Palmetto Bluff.
