The grand Somerset Chapel, set along the interior waterway of the property, provides a stately welcome to Montage Palmetto Bluff. Beautiful arched windows face east and west providing spectacular lighting from sunrise to sunset as the streams of light filter through, creating a magical setting.

Overlooking the pristine Lowcountry waters and salt marshes, the May River Chapel features stunning views through its arched windows. The charming, understated design offers an intimate and romantic setting for a truly breathtaking ceremony.

In the heart of Wilson Village, mere steps from the May River Chapel, lies the Village Green. Centrally located and overlooking the May River, this venue is home to the historic ruins of the Wilson Mansion, which once hosted some of the most extravagant southern parties in the 1900s. With its historic influence, the Village Green is an ideal location to put up a tent in which to host an amazing reception or special event.

With amazing views along the May River, guests are greeted under lush branches of ancient oak trees on the lawns of Palmetto Bluff. This venue is an ideal location to sip a libation and watch the tides at sunset on the river. A truly unique and mesmerizing experience.

Nestled at the back of the Inn, the Sunrise Lawn is surrounded by finely manicured grounds, framed by the lagoon waterways and maritime forest. With an isolated view overlooking Bird Island and the banks of the lagoon, this open oasis is made complete with two massive firepits for sunset celebrations, accompanied by the comforts of loved ones and roasted s’mores. It’s ideal for both intimate weddings and grand affairs.

Situated along the banks of the May River, resting under monumental oaks, the Boat House Lawn can be the perfect intimate setting for small private weddings, or more grandiose affairs.

Complete with an oversized stone fireplace, which serves as the focal point for the space, Moreland Landing is situated on the May River and offers spectacular views of the pristine water. Just beyond the pavilion, is a fire pit where fresh Lowcountry oysters are steamed, and guests may experience a traditional oyster roast. Anchored to the banks of the May River, is an incredible 5-story tree house which wraps around a centuries-old live oak tree.

Just along the marshes of the May River, placed at the back side of Cole’s, you will find the lawn at Moreland Green. A social place for large gatherings and special events. The marsh opens up to dramatic scenery with panoramic views. And the lawn comes with a permanent stage for small bands, open performances, and wedding vows.

Tucked away on the back side of the May River Golf Course clubhouse, secluded by stately live oaks, the May River Lawn is relaxed and quaint, an excellent spot for a casual occasion. This quiet venue offers impressive views of the 18th fairway and green. And also, your own private fire pit for exclusive access to unlimited s’mores.

The Wilson Family was known for style, grace and extravagant entertaining. Paying homage to their grand traditions, the Wilson Ballroom was named. The vast 7,000 square feet of space may be used for one grand event, divided into four smaller sections for a more intimate affair or an event that flows from room to room. The foyer space is ideal for cocktails or gatherings and looks directly out onto the lush grand lawn.

With its classic colonial architecture and sophisticated décor, the Oak Ballroom is an elegant and versatile venue. The ballroom fills with natural light as the sun beams through the French doors and windows. The large wraparound veranda, which surrounds the ballroom on three sides, offers stunning views of the May River. At 1,800 square feet, the Oak Ballroom can accommodate several seating arrangements as well as space for dancing and entertainment.

Cole’s, a family-friendly gathering space overlooking the marsh. It showcases local ingredients paired with innovative libations and local brews. Relax in lounge-style indoor seating, enjoy a meal at the outdoor tables, experience the bowling alley and game area or simply unwind on the screened-in porch overlooking the marsh.

Canoe Club offers river-to-table dining with panoramic views of the May River and the Palmetto Bluff inland waterway. The coastal-inspired menu highlights local shrimp, oysters and seafood, complemented by fresh vegetables, beef and poultry sourced from nearby farms—celebrating the flavors of the South Carolina Lowcountry.
